On December 9, 2025, the City of Prince Albert (MCAP), the Prism Project (WFCG), and LDSCR are coming together to host a learning opportunity designed to build safer, more connected spaces across our city. Led and facilitated by 2SLGBTQIA+ members of the Prism Project team from Studio Q, this workshop supports leaders and staff in understanding the experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ people within our organizations and communities. Through storytelling, workshop exercises, and shared learning, participants will explore ways to strengthen inclusion, deepen relationships, and co-create a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to contribute. Prism Project – Facilitator Bio The Prism Project is co-led by Alex Powalinsky and Lisa Halsall, Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ artists and social workers whose work is grounded in relational, arts-based approaches to systems change. At Studio Q, they support community connection, facilitate arts-based learning, and collaborate with organizations to strengthen inclusive practices. Their work centers on creating safer spaces, amplifying Indigiqueer leadership, and building cultures of belonging across Prince Albert and surrounding communities.
