About this Course

On Thursday, August 1st, Prince Albert Playground leaders and Wildernook Fresh Air Learning team up to host an adventurous outdoor day camp for kids ages 8 - 12 yrs at Little Red River Park. This years free day camp features tarp shelter building in the forest, an orienteering challenge, learning about local plants with elder, Liz Settee, and creating nature artwork and crafts. Rain or shine, campers will be active outdoors for 6 or more hours. Families, please check the weather forecast and ensure your child is dressed to be comfortable outdoors. Each child should bring a backpack with 1L water, a bagged lunch, 2x snacks, hat, layer clothing they can add or remove, sunscreen and bug spray (optional). Register now and we'll see you in the woods! Drop off at Little Red River park: The bridge near Knotty Pine Bistro is closed! Please access the Little Red West entrance with the instructions below: - Highway 55 East - Turning left on 6th Avenue North East, before the Little Red main entrance - Turn right on Little Red River Park Road, and continue past Pine Grove Correctional Center - Continue straight through West entrance gate until you arrive at the 4th picnic shelter and swinging bridge.
